The i5 is basically an awesome budget version of the i7. It wrecks everything. I can run ultra CPU-intensive stuff like a video game, Fruity Loops and a 1080p movie - all at the same time. No noticeable slowdowns whatsoever.
The video card (Radeon HD5850) eats everything alive and is the only card on the market afaik that performs like a high-end card but costs like a mid-end card. It's the best thing ever.
I've had no problems with the RAM at all. Whoever wrote that review must've been on crack.
No optical drives was a cool choice which ended up making it rather annoying to install Windows, but apart from that I haven't even noticed I don't have a fucken DVD drive haha. Basically I'm really happy aside from the fact that I seriously need more RAM.
