I don't think it to be pretentious if you think they're just simply boring though. And by more unique, I'm referring to names that aren't used as commonly as most. Nothing like Frank Zappa named his kids, or Supafly. Something that just isn't a commonly found name for a boy but still cool and normal.
(The girl's name ftr is going to be Sophia Consuelo)
Fair play, the premise of finding a name boring is different to the point I was making  p.s name the kid Alex becauee obviously that is the best name in the world h4h4 |

When I was little I got to pick my own name when I immigrated. Apparently I named myself after Kevin Arnold from The Wonder Years. This is rather strange to me as I literally never recall ever watching that show.

No disrespect, but I find the notion of not naming your child a 'common' name simply due to the fact you want it to be uncommon, rather than not liking the name, extremley pretentious and an attempt to try and make a potential child more 'special.' The common names are boring as fuck so I really don't see why you'd want to pick something unusual for your kid. The only common name I can think of that I actually really like is Alice. On a more serious note, name him Varg! |
