League of Legends is a free DotA/MOBA style game. MOBA meaning multiplayer online battle arena. Basically you pick one of 45 heroes and face off against another team who also picked from the 45 heroes, fight for positions/towers, gain levels, buy items, level skills, and all that shit. If you never played DotA, LoL is way easier to get into because a lot of the confusing shit like item recipes were removed and just turned into upgradeable items. Also all the hotkeys were moved to QWER so you don't have to learn whatever random letters DotA used.

The best thing about this game is that they add new shit every week. Last week they added two new heroes (one of them is underpowered as shit tho)

If you like spending money on games you can also buy skins which make you look like a rich faggot ps I have a couple. Thankfully everything else can be earned or is free.

i hate hon and lol as well because the same thing's happening there, but i still like them better than the original dota.

the reason i like them more: they are prettier. hon is easiest on the eyes so i like that the most.
yes, it all comes down to graphical polish at the end since THAT'S PRETTY MUCH THE ONLY FUCKING DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE GAMES RAGERAGERAGE

I would have to say that dota probably still is the best game out of all of them just because it is the original and has the most heroes, but I only really play hon nowadays because of the ease of joining games, looks better, plays better, keeps stats, and you don't see any ragequitters. If HoN just ported all the heroes so I could have a better selection, I would probably say HoN was the best.  

I only played LoL for like 2 weeks, but I found it kind of a casual game compared to dota at the time and I haven't really played it since (although I did like a lot of the hero designs).

edit: Although I don't think HoN is worth $30 (it is being released on like May 12th) I will probably still buy it.

the only difference between hon and dota (and the reason why ppl prefer dota) is the difference in amount of heroes. dota has been out for, what, 6 years? plenty of time to progress to where it is today. hon has only <1 year under it's belt. i got a lot of buddies (pro-competitive players) who also think dota is superior because of that but wont open war3 for dota ever again. more heores = way more different strategies = wider range of gameplay. understandable. hon is still the carry-support-tank 1-2 step atm.

the current hon is vastly superior in every other way to dota. period. over time, more heroes will be introduced and old heroes get rebalanced ect, ect, and hon will only get better.

nothing to say about LoL, never played. looks ugly but i heard the skill projectile system is fun (like valk arrows, chipper rockets)
